Steve,
I was looking for any information on my mothers family(Saurette) and found your amazing website. My mothers father was Onil George LeDuc and her mother was Aurore Saurette. Her grandparents were Almeric Saurette and Alida Morier. My mother is Patricia Aurore LeDuc and her sister was Lucille LeDuc.
Thanks for posting all this wonderful information.

Mr Rock,
Hello my name is Eric Mallette.
I have been working on my family geneology.
I am starting with my father`s side. My father is adopted so I decided to look into his adoptive family history a little, which of course is shrouded in mystery for me.
I went to the Notre Dame des Neiges cemetary today to see his parents grave (Florida Harbour and Ulric Mallette), to my suprise the tombstone I saw there had the Name Leroux, as I searched intowho was laid to rest there, I saw Wilbrode Leroux who was married to Hedwige Oligny , which after Google sent me here, do you have any Information to what and how these three different last names are connected, any info would be GREAT,
The site is amazing!!
Thanks!!
Eric

I found some of my husbands family history on here for Louis Robert dit Lafontaine. Married to Marie Bourgery. But you have some sibling names missing. There were 11 children but one died at age 2 in 1693: Louis Robert(1). Here is my list of children: Pierre 1671, Joseph 1674, Francois 1678, Marie 1680, Margurite 1683, Prudent 1686, Jean Baptiste 1688, Jacques 1694, Louis(2) and Antone 1698.
I can't seem to find Pierre Robert's ( born abt. 1567 )(Marie Rembault) parents names or where they came from. Any ideas?

Hi! I typed in my last name into google and this awesome websight came up. I don't know where my family fits into this but I think it would be cool if we could get added on (if we aren't listed already) My dad is Lucien Saurette and my Grandparents are Madeleine and Andre. Love your work here. Awesome.

Dear Steve,
I believe we are connected in our family trees. My family tree has many of the same surnames as your in my Louisiana Cajun lineage. It also tracks back to many of the same surnames in Quebec. I just have not been able to wade through all the names to find the match. Do you have a GEDCOM file I could download into my program with FamilyTreemaker 16, and see if when I run a merge file program on it, if I can find the matches in the genealogy of our two families? I would be very grateful. I look forward to your e-mail reply. Sincerely, David
